ycn: student awards 2017

 

(While this project is from my student days, its still one of my favourites)

For the YCN student awards, I picked a brief set by Greenall's Gin asking us to 'design a piece of creative that brings to life a classic British moment in a contemporary way.' 

Rail travel is something that has been present and celebrated in British culture for decades and is still common transport for days out, short breaks and holidays.

I picked three destinations with the highest Gin drinking populations in the UK and used these locations to advertise the three main Greenall's Gin products: Original, Wild Berry and Sloe Gin. The information and design mimics an actual rail ticket but uses information about the product and the existing Greenall's colour scheme.

This project won a YCN commendation and was exhibited alongside other winners at The Barbican Conservatory. Something I am very proud of to this day.
